The principal sets the terms. The agent spends within them. The contract enforces the ruling.
A company's smart account installs the Recourse module (ERC-7579 executor) and names its agent's key: PathUSD only, 1,000 per transaction, 5,000 a day, never without an inspection window. The agent buys a dataset for 500 PathUSD — the money goes into a Recourse escrow transaction against the hashed terms, not to the seller. The delivery fails the listing, settlement proposals miss, the agent disputes on chain and files with the venue — wallet signature as identity and consent, case fee paid with the request. The live engine decides, Recourse signs a proportional determination, and one transaction executes the split from the escrow. Every step is a real transaction. Recourse never holds the money and pays no gas.

One honest limit
The account here is a reference ERC-7579 accountA minimal owner-key account exposing the standard execution surface, standing in for a Safe on this devnet. The module only ever calls executeFromExecutor, which is what Safe7579 exposes.
